Calls On Call is expanding their team and looking for a Business Development Specialist to continue to grow and market our business within the local area.

About Calls On Call
In March 2012, James Kademan and Jodi Fisher launched Calls On Call, a shared receptionist service, to address a problem they’d experienced firsthand: lost business from an inability to answer and respond to incoming calls during the day.  Their primary goal was to create the illusion of a full-time receptionist, at a fraction of the cost of hiring one for their clients.

The company has grown by 400% in the last 2 years, and has also developed an additional division for outbound call services.  This division provides appointment setting, sales cold calls, collections, customer service follow-up calls, and secret shopping services.

Our clients include professional small businesses within the service industry that want to establish exceptional customer service firsthand, and won’t settle for voicemails, cell phones, or a call center to take care of their clients and potential customers.

About You
Calls On Call is looking for someone who is passionate about building client relationships, is extremely motivated, thrives on working independently, and excels at the business development process.  If you are someone who has a strong drive to succeed and a passion for making clients happy, then we would love to talk to you!

If you’re the sales person we’re looking for, you’ll be driven, self-motivated, successful, and great at communicating in person, as well as over the phone. You’ll be challenged and asked to achieve great results. You’ll sell to dozens of potential clients each and every week. You’ll thrive on working independently, creating your own sales plans, and achieving aggressive goals.  And finally, you will be excited to take on the long-term challenge of creating a successful sales record in your new role as our Business Development representative at Calls On Call.

This sales position is primarily responsible for securing new clients in a B2B setting for our growing Madison, WI office.  This is accomplished by skillfully matching the solutions we offer to the needs of prospective business leaders and owners in Madison and south central Wisconsin. You’ll be inspired, passionate, motivated and above all…. ready to learn, sell, and push yourself to achieve more than you ever thought possible.

Main responsibilities will be:

  • Creating sales plans that lead to successful closing of service contracts
  • Attending networking functions, business meetings, and professional events (both during the day and early evening hours)
  • Lead generation
  • Using social media to develop relationships, build connections, and share your expertise to help others
  • Marketing Calls On Call to spread the word about our services and benefits
  • Managing relationships with business partners
  • Account management of existing clients, including upselling services

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years showing a successful track record in business-to-business sales
  • History showing an ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Microsoft office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
