Outbound Call Specialist

Calls On Call is expanding their team and looking for an Outbound Call Specialist to set appointments for the sales team, as well as make outgoing calls for our clients.

This position starts at part-time (20-25 hours/week), transitioning into full-time as success is shown and clients are added.  We also offer the opportunity to transition into a full-time sales role (inside and outside sales) after displaying a successful track record.

About Calls On Call
In March 2012, James Kademan and Jodi Fisher launched Calls On Call, a shared receptionist service, to address a problem they’d experienced firsthand: lost business from an inability to answer and respond to incoming calls during the day.  Their primary goal was to create the illusion of a full-time receptionist, at a fraction of the cost of hiring one for their clients.

The company has grown by 400% in the last 2 years, and has also developed an additional division for outbound call services.  This division provides appointment setting, sales cold calls, collections, customer service follow-up calls, and secret shopping services.

Our clients include professional small businesses within the service industry that want to establish exceptional customer service firsthand, and won’t settle for voicemails, cell phones, or a call center to take care of their clients and potential customers.

About You

Calls On Call is looking for someone who isn’t afraid of cold calling.  You can adapt to the caller, you enjoy a challenge, and you’re self-motivated.  You take great pride in the successful result of setting a meeting.  You can take a script and make it yours, improving on it as you gain experience with calls.

The successful candidate thrives on working independently, and enjoys the bonuses they receive by hitting their numbers and making their goals.

This position is primarily responsible for securing appointments in a B2B setting for our growing Madison, WI office.  This is accomplished by skillfully uncovering the needs of prospective business leaders and business owners, and creating interest and excitement in our services as a way to meet those needs.  Secondarily, you may be asked to make outgoing calls on behalf of our clients.

Main responsibilities will be:

  • Appointment setting for Calls On Call via phone calls, email, and standard mail
  • Creating and organizing lists of contacts
  • Creating month-end reports with call results
  • Making customer service follow-up calls, cold calls, and/or secret shopping calls for our clients

Required Qualifications:

  • History showing an ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Microsoft office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • If the words “hunter, loyal, motivated, dependable, consistent, positive, and reliable” describe you, we’re interested in talking
  • An aptitude to learn quickly
  • Fun, yet professional attitude

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

  • Experience showing a successful track record in business-to-business sales
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
